Job Vacancies at Koridor Utara Malaysia September 2013. Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA) is a statutory body established in 2008 by Jabatan Perdana Menteri Malaysia. We are the body that is responsible for the Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER) covering northen peninsula states such as Perlis, Kedah, Penang dan Northern Perak. Our Key Trust areas are Agriculture, Manufacturing, Tourism and Logistics.

1. HUMAN RESOURCE & ADMINISTRATION MANAGER


Responsibilities

Human Resources
  • Implement the organisation’s human resource strategy so that the organisation attracts, manages, develops and retains the employees it needs to achieve its current and future business objectives.
  • Direct a variety of human resource related programmes to ensure that the organisation’s current and future human resource requirements are met and that employees are recruited, managed, organised, trained, evaluated and rewarded in accordance with the organisation’s human resource strategy.
  • Ensure vacant positions are filled promptly with persons of relevant competency and qualifications through an appropriate process of recruitment and selection.
  • Maintain relevant records of employee transactions and employment history.
  • Maintain good order and discipline throughout the organisation through effective communication with employees and the HODs including the serving of written notices, conduct of inquiries and counselling as appropriate.
  • Maintain harmonious industrial relations in administrating the Company’s IR policies, handling grievances, resolving disputes and communicating effectively with all level of employees.
  • Plan and organize training programmes to maintain and improve employee skills, maintain records of training and implement measures for training effectiveness.
  • Provide support and professional guidance to all departments in all areas of HR Management.
  • Enhance the morale and motivation of employees through effective communication, promoting reward and recognition, and organising social and sporting activities.
  • Evaluate the organisation future workforce needs in order to recommend changes to the organisation’s human resource strategy and adapt existing current human resource programmes to meet these needs.
  • Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of human resource professionals to ensure that the organisation’s human resource strategy is implemented effectively and that the organisation complies with all the relevant regulations, laws and employment standards.

Administration
A.  Oversee all Administration functions of the organisation to ensure:
  • All regulatory requirements are complied to ensure no disruption to the smooth operation of the organisation.
  • Office services, facilities and supplies are provided in an efficient, effective and timely manner to ensure no disruption to the smooth operation of the organisation.
  • Premises, gardens and compounds are properly maintained at all times to present a good image of the organisation.

B.  To oversee the Risk Management functions of the Company by:
  • Periodic review of the risk exposure of the Company and the management of those risks to safeguard Company assets in accordance with Company policies and practices.
  • Review and implementation of insurance covers and prevention of uninsured losses.
  • Effective control over fixed assets and inventories.

Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Human Resource Management, Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.
  • Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
  • At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Preferably Managers specializing in Human Resources or equivalent.
  • Full-Time position(s) available.
